Remote Training
KTN’s remote training is delivered in a variety of formats, according to the topic selected and the number of participants targeted. While the private, live webcam delivery is the most interactive, KTN’s unique approach to online courses targeting individual users offers a dynamic and interactive learning opportunity unparalleled in the lodging industry. All KTN sales, guest service/hospitality, reservations sales, and front desk training topics are available for remote delivery.
Remote Training Delivery Options
The formats KTN uses for remote training vary according to the topic selected as well as to the number of participants targeted, including:
Private, Live, Small Group Webcam Training. Targeted for groups of up to 12 participants, this highly interactive format simulates traditional, on-site training. KTN’s trainers present live on webcam, full-screen, with their presentation deck displayed behind them. Although not required, participants are also asked to be on a webcam. Participants can attend together in one room, or they can attend separately from their desks. Trainers engage participants with questions and brief assignments. The duration is typically 90 minutes to 2 hours maximum. Fees generally run from $495 USD for one event to $1295 for a three-part series.
All KTN training topics are available in this format including hotel sales training, reservations sales, vacation rental topics, and hospitality training.

Private, Live Individual Staff Training. KTN trainers present on webcam directly to each individual participant. This format is used exclusively for certain topics, such as hotel sales, reservations sales, and front desk “Heart of Hospitality” Certification, and is packaged with other components of multi-step training courses. Fees vary.
Topics available for this format include KTN’s Front Desk “Heart of Hospitality” Certification and Hotel Sales Skills For Remote Buyers sales coaching.
Online (Self-Study) Training. KTN has reimagined traditional online training and created a dynamic and interactive format. Participants work through a series of modules, each of which includes a dynamic video presentation by Doug Kennedy; training assignments that are fun and engaging; and handouts covering key concepts that serve as job aids. Assessments (quizzes) after each module ensure comprehension. The total completion time is typically 3 hours. Fees run $99 USD per person.

Cathy Cook, DTM, Executive Director of Training & Development. This format offers the feel of a traditional keynote address, as Doug Kennedy presents live from our KTN offices in Davie, Florida. Doug presents in full-screen, standing for the delivery to maximize non-verbal communication. His presentation deck is displayed behind him on a large TV. Duration is typically 60-90 minutes. Fees start at $1,500 USD for core topics.
Topics available for this format include all KTN core training programs, as well as those listed on Doug’s Conference Speaking page.
